- Music: Matt Fraction reviewed the new TV On The Radio album. I uploaded my favorite track from the album to my Tumblr account, because for some reason I can’t get WordPress to do it. Next week: the new Oasis album.
- Politics: Ivan Brandon and Jason Aaron posted two videos. Ivan posted a Fox News report where a show of hands in a Scranton, PA diner was “split,” between voting for either Obama or McCain. When in reality only one guy raised his hand (and hilariously, was forced to put it down by his wife) for McCain. It made my new roommate, who is from Scranton, and I roll around in laughter. Jason posted this bipartisan PSA on why you should vote. I thought it was pretty sweet.
- Comics: Good news, the house where Superman was created was saved, as reported by MTV’s Splash Page. I posted about this a couple of weeks ago and I’m glad this happened.
- TV: Its Always Something in Philadelphia is still the best comedy on television. Otherwise, my TV viewing has been fairly limited. Besides Chuck, Mad Men and Sunny, I haven’t watched a single episode of Fringe, Heroes or Sarah Connor.
- Movies: I saw Speed Racer and was pleasantly surprised. I’m probably going color blind because of it, it was almost too colorful for me, but it was without a doubt a fun movie that I enjoyed. I also saw The Hunting Party starring Richard Gere and Terrance Howard. This was pretty decent, I love the kinds of movies focused around journalists. The Insider is one of those films, and so is this. Its about a washed up reporter, his camera man and a witty up-and-coming reporter (Jessie Eisenberg) hunting down one of the Bosnian war lords that killed hundreds of muslims.
That’s all for this week.
