Aaron Sorkin to Pen Flaming Lips Musical. Damn. Not sure what to say, I’m a huge fan of Sorkin’s since becoming a West Wing addict back in college, and I’m one of the few people in America that likes(liked?) Studio 60. Normally, I loathe musicals, I can’t remember the last one I liked…yeah, it was Evil Dead, but before that was Phantom of the Opera in London, five years ago. Some of my college friends who went with me to England that summer will say how much of a tirade I went on shitting all over Mama Mia.
To say the least, I was probably going to be one of the first ones in the door to this show–is stating the obvious. Now that Sorkin is writing the script to it, is just icing on the cake.
